• Wacław Zimpel

Wacław Zimpel is a Polish composer and classically schooled clarinet player. He creates long compositions with repetitive patterns that take the listener on an ecstatic trip. Free jazz, American minimal music, Indian music traditions and psychedelica melt together in the work of the "musical chameleon" (The New York Times). No wonder he collaborated with living legends like James Holden and Shackleton. In his live shows, Zimpel turns into a virtuoso one man ensemble.

• Dijf Sanders — Supra (album release)
(live)

Dijf Sanders presents his new album Supra. After his previous albums, based on field trips to Indonesia (Java, 2017) and Nepal (Puja, 2020), Dijf now traveled to the beautiful Eurasian country of Georgia, in the Caucasus. He studied the deeply emotional and complex Georgian polyphony (polyphonic religious chants). The field recordings he made are intertwined with electronic sounds and pumping drums. The result is slow, spaced out electronic folk that gets under your skin. Supra will be released in November on Unday Records. The project was made possible by Europalia Georgia.
