DJ Marcelle has been collecting music longer than most of us have been alive. She brought her DIY attitude and humour with her from the (post)punk scene in Amsterdam in the 70s and 80s, and has since adapted everything she found interesting, from jungle and dubstep to Nyege Nyege rhythms and Syrian beats. She combines irony, virtuoso mixing skills with three turntables, and an encyclopaedic knowledge of music from all over the world like no other. DJ Marcelle creates symphonies to dance to, collages that are an ode to diversity and life. Without a doubt one of the most unique DJs in the world.
