Glowachrome Garden

Photographed fragments of landscapes, abstract colour compositions, synthetic sounds of nature and a stripped-down scenography blend together in a dark exhibition space. At times, the installation is activated. To the rhythm of changing slides, you become a witness to a carefully and gently evolving composition. By slowing down the pace in her hour-long performance – almost bringing it to a standstill – Evelien Cammaert intends to extract herself and the viewer out of the daily acceleration. In the contemplative concentration she creates, there is time for a different way of seeing.
