Goat (JP) + Fornet

Certain bands are just impossible to pigeonhole. Goat is one such band. Somewhere between rock band, jazz quartet and minimal music ensemble, their tight rhythmical compositions focus on percussion with added muted melodic instruments like bass and sax. Key ingredients are patterns played to perfection, mind-blowing polyrhythms and metallic harmonics. That way, Goat brings the crowd into trance and mental exhaustion.

Just like Goat, Belgian quintet Fornet ignores the codes of rock music with their unconventional guitar sounds, wayward rhythms and bizarre plot twists. After their self-titled debut EP in 2017 and the 7” Winter / Milk to be in 2018, Fornet plans a new release early 2020. Their live shows combiner tons of energy with a healthy dose of chaos, which they were able to prove at festival like Le Guess Who?, Pukkelpop and Best Kept Secret.
