If the Belgian improvisation scene were a kingdom, Hanne De Backer would be its queen. The saxophonist has blown her way through the Belgian and international jazz world with solo shows, collaborations with greats such as Hamid Drake and Jakob Bro, but also with her own project g a b b r o, with which she also makes film projects. Her performances oscillate between hyper-fragile and intimate passages and intense solos in which she explores the limits of her own body and the baritone saxophone. For STUK START, she will perform an acoustic saxophone piece in the echoing courtyard.
