Who better than our favourite Leuven drummer and his musical companion to open the Jazz season?
Kicking off a new season of Jazz op zondag in Leuven without Moene Peeters? Unthinkable. That’s why we’re launching the season with an energetic set by Moene and his musical partner Maurice De Clerck. Get ready for a vibrant, unpredictable evening full of fresh energy and musical experimentation.
Maurice De Clerck is no stranger to the STUKcafé stage, he performed here in 2017 with his own quartet as well as with the band 2 Times Nothing. Moene Peeters, a drummer from Leuven and recent LUCA School of Arts graduate, is an emerging talent on the Belgian jazz scene. With his band Slagader, he was recently selected for Soundtrack 2025.
Together, Moene and Maurice bring brand-new work straight from the rehearsal room: young, curious jazz full of boldness and passion. Drop by for the very first Jazz on Sunday of the season and raise a glass to a brand-new year of music!
The new STUK season has arrived, which automatically means a new Jazz on Sunday series at STUKcafé! Last year was full of vibrant jazz energy, and we will continue that trend in the autumn of 2025. The formula remains the same: free jazz concerts (or DJ sets) every Sunday in Leuven's most beautiful café. Every month, you can enjoy two live concerts, a special jazz evening curated by LUCA Jazz, and a DJ set with groovy jazz tunes. The programme is constantly being updated, so keep an eye on the STUK website!
