Jazz op zondag: volpe

From energy to melancholy: Ghent-based trio present their second album.

Volpe is the well-oiled trio led by Ghent-based pianist Heleen Andriessen. Drummer Stijn Demuynck and bassist Kobe Boon support Andriessen’s lyrical melodies with an infectious groove. Their carefully crafted compositions shift between energetic bursts and quiet melancholy, immersing you in a warm soundscape that transports you to an otherworldly place.

In November 2025, W.E.R.F. Records will release their second album, elders.

The new STUK season has arrived, which automatically means a new Jazz on Sunday series at STUKcafé! Last year was full of vibrant jazz energy, and we will continue that trend in the autumn of 2025. The formula remains the same: free jazz concerts (or DJ sets) every Sunday in Leuven's most beautiful café. Every month, you can enjoy two live concerts, a special jazz evening curated by LUCA Jazz, and a DJ set with groovy jazz tunes. The programme is constantly being updated, so keep an eye on the STUK website!
