Liew Niyomkarn is a sound artist and musician. Her work primarily explores echoes and sustained sounds achieved through acoustic instruments (such as zither and lap steel guitar) and Supercollider, a coding language employed to craft various tuning systems. She integrates field recordings to capture the essence of time and everyday routines, immersing herself in the sounds of the wilderness, archival recordings, and acoustic phenomena like feedback loops. Niyomkarn just released a mesmerizing album on the acclaimed label Chinabot, which focuses on experimental Asian (diaspora) music.

Kaboom Karavan is the moniker of musician, composer, instrument builder and educator Bram Bosteels. Using a mixture of selfbuilt instruments, old acoustic string instruments and electronics he creates a universe reminiscent of night-time carnival, strange vaudeville, or folk forms from an imaginary land. Kaboom Karavan has released five well-received albums over the past 15 years through Berlin label Miasmah. The latest release is called Fiasko and was released this spring. For the occasion, the band invited renowned trumpeter Bart Maris.
