Klangstof + Avondlicht

Amsterdam based electro pop trio Klangstof presents his second album The Noise You Make Is Silent. Ever since the band entered the scene in 2016 with debut Closed Eyes To Exit, the musical brainchild of Koen van der Wardt has a solid reputation for minimalist songs at the intersection of synth pop, post rock, and electronic grooves. Klangstof was the first Dutch band to perform at Coachella and Bonnaroo and even played in huge theaters as an opening act for The Flaming Lips. Klangstof was briefly signed to Warner, but things took a turn for the worst when the label demanded return on investment, in the form of a commercial hit - which the band couldn’t deliver. The collaboration ended abruptly, leaving Klangstof with a hangover and the need for resourcing. After finding new band members, Koen van der Wardt soon rediscovered his initial playfulness, impulsivity and need for experiment, which resulted in a brand new album. The first single Attack Attack sounds already promising and demonstrates very neat production skills. Looking forward to their first Belgian show in 3 years!

Avondlicht is the musical baby of Antwerp-based producer Matthias Dziwak. His dark and vulnerable sound shifts from energetic breakbeats across spacious ambient to postrock and neo-classical. After years of searching, Avondlicht finally releases the debut album Hyperromance in April 2020. It's the result of an emotional and geographic journey through the majestic Andes mountains, sunny Portugal and the snowy canals of Amsterdam.
