Kris Dane + The Antler King (Autumn Falls)

With already six excellent solo albums, Kris Dane has been a hidden gem in the Belgian music scene - as an early member of dEUS and Ghinzo, among others. But his solo work never really received the attention it deserves. His latest release U.N.S.U.I. might change that: musical purity with such a disarming emotionality that a breakthrough seems inevitable. Dance whispers, mumbles and croons his tales of loss, identity and love over grainy jazz grooves by the likes of Dré Pallemaerts and Pascale Paulus, class acts from Melanie De Biasio’s band. Let yourself fade away in the 16-minute song Shades, sounding like a classic rock ballad that has been around forever.

Support The Antler King has never really been away either. Sinds 2011 they create their lo-fi indie pop, spicing it up with colourful vocal harmonies and pieces of psychedelica. In STUK they present their new album Ten for a Bird.
