luid
Trees full of tubes. Branches made of funnels. On the stage of luid is an enormous installation. If you listen very carefully, there are sounds to be heard and the installation becomes an instrument. Two women start to play it. They use their entire bodies: fingers, toes, their heads. Each body part provides a new sound. Together with the audience, the performers discover the instrument’s possibilities. As the pace is increased, step-by-step, a virtuoso play of music and dance is created between their bodies and the installation.
luid, the fourth creation of the duo tout petit, is a swinging energetic performance in which sounds become movement and movement makes sound. As always with Lies Cuyvers and Ciska Vanhoyland, lively dance and authenticity are of the essence. At the end of the performance, children and parents can experiment and play with the sounds of the installation themselves.
