Mia Prce aka Miaux is a composer and Synthesizer player from Antwerp. She creates timeless and melancholic music for Casio keyboard. Simple and repetitive patterns characterize her msyterious compositions. For VIERNULVIER’s festival Videodroom 2022, Miaux wrote a completely new soundtrack for the 1962 cult classic Carnival Of Souls. This psychological thriller from director Herk Harvey follows the story of Mary Henry, a young woman who moves to a new town after a car accident, but does not feel at home there. Along the way, she is pursued by a bizarre apparition - 'The Man', played by director Harvey himself - who forces her to go to an abandoned lakeside pavilion. In the original soundtrack, one hears church organs, in Miaux's version it’s the analogue synthesizer. Miaux will perform this live in the intimate setting of CinemaZED's cinema at STUK.

This film concert was commissioned by Kunstencentrum VIERNULVIER and Film Festival Gent for the Videodroom series.
