To limit the spread of the corona virus, STUK cancels all planned performances, concerts and public events until May 31 2020. All ticket holders are contacted directly.
Heel wat voorstellingen en activiteiten die gepland waren op Dag van de Dans 2020 zullen helaas niet kunnen doorgaan. Dag van de Dans bedankt iedereen (theaters, gezelschappen, choreografen, dansers, organisaties, musea, …) die dit jaar een activiteit had georganiseerd op Dag van de Dans. Meer dan 80 verschillende organisaties zouden dit jaar deelnemen aan de 5e editie in heel Vlaanderen en Brussel. Zoals elk jaar haalden zij alles uit de kast om er een onvergetelijke Dag van de Dans van te maken. Wij brengen op 25 april nog steeds een ode aan de dans, maar doen dat vanuit ons kot!
Wat doen we op Dag van de Dans 2020?
We dansen online! Dans op Dag van de Dans in je woonkamer, op de stoep voor je deur, in een lege straat of zet je raam open en dans voor de voorbijgangers. Deel op zaterdag 25 april 2020 jouw moves (via een foto of kort filmpje op Facebook of Instagram) met ons via @dagvandedans/#dagvandedans. Ook lanceren wij op 25.04 onze trailer waarin we je virtueel laten proeven van het programma van Dag van de Dans 2020.

After earlier, successful passages in STUK with Schots en scheef, licht! and luid, Lies Cuyvers and Ciska Vanhoyland return to STUK in the Spring of 2020 to work on their new creation DRRRAAI.
If you would ask a young child to dance, chances are they will spin around. In their research, Vanhoyland and Cuyvers not only watch circular movements of the body, but also spatial patterns, image and music. With their usual artistic partners in crime, they develop a playful decor of circles and turning sculptures, and a poetic soundscape that spins through the space.
During the Dag van de Dans, they invite the young audience in the studio for a look behind the scenes and a preview of their new creation. Very exciting!
