Our Cold Loves

Ariane Loze writes, directs, acts and edits her videos herself, making each one a performance in its own right. In her video Our Cold Loves, 22 characters explore love in a time of cold intimacy, through dating apps such as Tinder. Her second video If you didn’t choose A, you will probably choose B explores the algorithms behind these apps and reveals how personal data is shared and sold without consent. The videos are accompanied by an interactive activation where visitors recite the characters’ monologues, thereby creating a new performance.

Together with your table companions, you puzzle fragments of dialogue into a new montage of the video. The performance Our Cold Loves is open to 22 participants and can be performed in two languages.
