There is a waiting list for sold-out performances. You can put your name on the waiting list on the day of the performance from 19:00 onwards (at STUK Reception or by phone at 016 14 66 80). Ten minutes before the start of the performance, we will start selling the remaining seats, in order of registration on the list. We cannot guarantee you a ticket, but it is definitely worth the try.
Our Solo is a solo that is not a solo. Claire Croizé returns as a dancer and shares the stage with versatile Kazakh violinist Aisha Orazbayeva, known for her fearless interpretations of contemporary music and radical approach to ancient repertoire.
Both explore the boundaries of their own medium and draw inspiration from each other's presence. Both the dancing body and the musical instrument open new registers. For instance, putting paper on the strings transforms a violin into a wind instrument, evoking the wind in a deserted city. And the repetitive, almost obsessive movement of the bow on the violin has much in common with the physical effort of a dancer. Our Solo is an intuitive artistic dialogue that results in unheard compositions and unseen choreography.
