Point of View, a dialogue
Do you reflect about gender, sexual orientation, feminism, power relations, resilience, society's expectations and how gender definitions are embedded in our Western culture? Would you like to share thoughts with other people, just like Angela Washko tries to do in her current exhibition Point of View in STUK? Then these Point of view dialogues may be just what you look for.
Point of View, a dialogue wants to discover your fellow creature's perspecitves. We don't want to look for confrontation, we want to listen to each other with empathy, experiencing how all of our voices can complement each other. This way, it is the perfect buildup to Artefact 2021's theme Wired for Empathy.
Five Wednesdays in a row we offer a a free online dialogue - in Dutch - guided by a facilitator, for a group of seven people who want to discuss topics from Angela Washko's exhibition. We start at 20:00, the dialogues take about 90 minutes and take place via Zoom. Having visited Angela Washko's exhibition is a bonus, but not essential - the themes of the exhibition Point of View are key to the talks, but a strong interest in the themes will suffice as well.
