Belly Flop (Farida Amadou & Leslie Gutierrez)

BELLY FLOP is the brand-new friendship duo of bassist Farida Amadou and drummer Leslie Gutierrez. While Amadou currently plays in the top tier of the European improv scene, Gutierrez created a furore as a member of the female punk trio Pega (RIP!). Together, they bridge the gap between free improvisation and groovy songs. Their project originated during a residency in our new venue STEK, where the toilets used to be. This sanitary genesis is the hilarious starting point for the duo, who above all do not take themselves too seriously. "BELLY FLOP is a bit of pop, a bit of experimental, a bit of rock music and for sure a lot of fun!".
