Ehsan Hemat is a Brussels-based dancer and choreographer. Ehsan's debut piece, I Put a Spell on You, is an ambitious exploration of the effects of discipline and control on the human body, which was awarded the Best Choreography prize at the International Fadjr Theatre Festival in 2019. His second piece A in the Role of B when C didn't make it was developed within LaGeste's Co-Labo and premiered at KVS in 2023. Everything brings us back to the body is his first solo performance. The performance starts from the insight that today's digital overproduction and oversaturation of images and information is murdering us and disconnecting us from our bodies. In response, from the interaction between the living body and a non-living object, a large brass plate, his performance focuses on a ritual of visual and auditory reflections.
