Vincent Moon & Mohammad Reza Mortazavi - Artefact Sound 23

Artefact Sound presents the premiere of the collaboration between DIY filmmaker Vincent Moon and percussionist Mohammad Reza Mortazavi. As a true 'sound traveler', French artist Vincent Moon has been traveling all around the world to make films of musical folklore, shamanistic rituals and unique site-specific sounds. The mixes the videos live into an audiovisual dj-set ('live cinema'). For this residency he joins forces with Iran-born, Berlin-based percussion virtuoso Mohammad Reza Mortazavi. His virtuoso fingering on tombak and daf, two traditional Persian hand drums, is second to none. Amplified by a sound system he brings enchanting rhythms that take you on an ecstatic trip.
