Een avond met talks en concerten badend in balearische exotica en kleurrijke ambient
Tim Koh moet om medische redenen zijn komende concerten afzeggen, waaronder het optreden in STUK. Ook Ariel Pink-collega Scott Gilmore moet door onvoorziene omstandigheden annuleren. E Ruscha V zal solo spelen, en werk brengen uit zijn uitstekend onthaalde debuutplaat Who Are You.
The Word Radio en STUK slaan de handen in elkaar voor een luisteravond met talks en concerten badend in balearische exotica en kleurrijke ambient. Top of the bill is LA-based ambient-componist Sarah Davachi, gekend om haar combinatie van synthesizer-drones, etherische vocals en akoestische instrumenten in renaissance-stemmingen. Haar nieuwe album Gave in Rest verschijnt op 14 september 2018. Tweede in de rij is de Californische synth-nostalgia van E Ruscha V, de zoon van pop-art icoon Ed Ruscha, die dit jaar zijn dromerige debuut Who Are You uitbracht. The Word Radio-resident en Brussels-based Franse producer Roméo Poirier opent de avond met zijn kenmerkende blend van lo-fi elektronica en subtropische composities.
