Ten years after its creation, Portuguese-Belgian choreographer Helder Seabra (a.o. Wim Vandekeybus and Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui) revisits In Absentia. In this highly energetic, virile and sensitive performance with brilliant live music, crying and laughing is allowed. Five men explore and experience the emotional, mental and physical impact of loss. Ten years later, they have grown older and the world has changed, but loss is still there. Together, they confront different and new forms of loss, such as the erosion of youth or the silent struggles of fathers alienated from their children. The stage once again becomes the canvas for sheer energy, resilience and raw vulnerability.
