In Other Words — postponed

This performance has been postponed to the 2023-2024 season, due to delays in the renovation of the STUK building. The exact date is to be confirmed. All ticket holders have been contacted directly. For more practical info on our spring programme, please check this page.

Is dance a language? And if so, how is it spoken? In this performance, Ingrid Berger Myhre explores what dance and language have in common. With the stage as a blank page, the choreography unfolds like a physical story with its own syntax, grammar and vocabulary. What are the possibilities and shortcomings of language? In Other Words is a game in which four performers repeatedly paraphrase one another’s dances. With ingenuity, charm and humour, Ingrid Berger Myhre places dance in a fresh perspective.

Ingrid Berger Myhre is a Norwegian choreographer and dancer currently based in Brussels. She holds an MA in Choreography, Research and Performance from ex.e.r.ce at the Choreographic Centre in Montpellier and later deepened her project literacy in dance at the Research Studios at P.A.R.T.S. in Brussels. Language and semiotics are central elements to her artistic work.
