Inuit presents: Schroothoop + Miaux

Exotic grooves with instruments made of garbage + ethereal melodies on Casio keyboard.

STUK and Inuit are crazy about the brand new Brussels trio Schroothoop. Not only because they make exotic grooves with influences from North African folk, Afro-Cuban rhythms and Eastern melodies, but also and especially because they play instruments made of garbage. Think of a retractable PVC saxophone, a water bottle as a drum and hi-hats from tin lids. Their first record Klein Gevaarlijk Afval just came out and was produced by Dijf Sanders, who also plays in STUK in October.

Miaux is the alter ego of Antwerp based musician Mia Prce, born in Sarajevo. Armed with a Casio keyboard, she creates melancholic and timeless compositions that sound like the mysterious soundtrack of a forgotten movie. Her third album Black Space White Cloud was released in September on the Ultra Eczema label.
