Nesten

Three lonely figures are looking for a home. But what exactly does ‘home’ mean? Is home a synonym for a ‘roof over your head’? Or does not having a roof over your head still mean something other than being homeless? Maybe home is a feeling you have regardless of whether you have a home. Nesten is a search for this feeling of ‘being at home’, with the help of a shield, a tent, and an encampment. But sometimes one finds the feeling of home within oneself or through togetherness. Nesten is a visual and physical representation of safety, security, and friendship, all in a cardboard world.

Anna Bentivegna and Zoë Demoustier danced in various fABULEUS productions and later studied at the Mime Opleiding in Amsterdam, where they met Ayrton Fraenk. For their first children’s production, Nesten, they address a major theme for toddlers.
