Otsamo is an alternative indie pop band with Sascha Heims (guitar/vocals), Tuur Geldhof (bass), Natan Goessens (drums) and Wodan Onkelinx (keys). The four-piece band blends different styles such as alt rock, pop rock, indie and singer-songwirter. A tightly grooving rhythm section, touching lyrics and instrumental hooks that go on for weeks all take you into their story. Their songs have an honest and vulnerable character, packed with the pleasure of playing and creating together.
After a first series of shows as a trio in the summer of 2022, they went into the studio later that year to record their first EP Bedtime Stories, which they will present in STEK. Keyboard player Wodan Onkelinx was added to the line-up for the recording, and has become a proper band member since. The first two singles - Little Green Car and What’s It Like? - were released in the summer of 2023 and were met with positive reviews and good streaming numbers. Little Green Car was part of last August's New, Belgian & Good playlist of Mayway Records. A band to keep an eye on in 2024!
Pear Tree is a Leuven-based indie-pop band with elements of jazz, bossa nova, soul, and psychedelia. Pear Tree’s music is dreamy and poetic, like the feeling of a sunset, or a stroll under streetlights.
