Pruillip is a new Belgian sludge band with Louis Evrard (Bert Dockx Band, Grid Ravage, Ottla) on guitar and Annelies Van Dinter (Echo Beatty, Takh, Nada Ghost) on drums and vocals. Indebted to the sonic sound walls of Earth, Pruillip is loud, hypnotising and overpowering. Their self-titled debut album is all about deep meditation: eight songs that channel elementary emotions and physically hit the body. Pruillip crafts their sound with drones and low end frequencies, brutal, spartan drums and primitive, mesmerising guitar riffs. Sometimes they go for slow burning, sometimes full on attack, but always intens and compelling. Through it all, Annelies' dark voice lures you into mysterious places you never want to leave again.
