STUKswing met liveband: MAS Vintage Jazz Quartet & DJ Manneken Swing
Edition four of STUKswing: swing to live jazz swing music and an afterparty
We welcome MAS Vintage Jazz Quartet and DJ Manneken Swing on our 4th edition of STUKswing. With this quartet, trumpeter Marie-Anne Standaert pays homage to the most beautiful melodies from the rich jazz history of the 20s-30s-40s. To this end, she is surrounded by kindred spirits from different generations: master swinger Stijn Wauters on piano, complemented by a brilliant rhythm section of Toon Van Dionant on drums and Jean Van Lint on double bass and vocals.

We don't ask for an entrance fee. Though, we will be passing the hat to cover the costs of the event. Contribution is open, but a warm request to donate generously so we can keep organizing these events.

Parking
From 21:00: free in the streets of Leuven. If you book a parking spot in advance on Q Parking Heilig Hart, you only pay 9 euro instead of 16 euro (-> 'Avondje uit" - 18h till 3h).
About the Leuven Hoppers
This company dances lindy hop, a swing partner dance that originated in the 1920s and remained popular in the decades that followed. The hoppers mainly provide a low-threshold swing party in the STUKcafé. For everyone who has a bean for pure jazz vibes to the tones of Ella Fitzegerald, Count Basie and Louis Armstrong, among others.
