Laurent Delom - ext

This research project has been ongoing since October 2019 and will continue in 2020. It gets materialized through various media (performance, exhibition, reading, video) that will be presented to the public throughout its duration. The production methodology is developed in response to the topics covered. It addresses risk taking, the autonomy of the researcher-explorer-performer (with a “self-assessment protocol”), as well as the problematics related to the presence of the spectator.

The research project opened in October 2019 at the Maison des Métallos in Paris (1 month co-coop residency) and will continue throughout 2020. It will be hosted by wpZimmer (Antwerp), STUK (Leuven) and workspacebrussels. During this individual research, two mentors (Tuur Marinus and Mathilde Florica) will follow up.

Laurent Delom is a young French performer operating in Antwerp (Belgium) since 2016. After studying and working as an engineer in France, he went to study at the Royal Conservatory of Antwerp in 2013. He co-signed with a school mate a first creation in September 2019 entitled dddddddduetttttttttttttttt (co-production: wpZimmer, workspacebrussels and C-Takt). He regularly collaborates as dance performer with various choreographers in Flanders and the Netherlands. He leads his own projects in various medias (video, images, virtual, choreography, performance) since 2016.
